Brief description

Part of the general science in every third grade is a discussion of the home district, including the economy and culture. But where should schools get up-to-date knowledge about this? With the free educational game WissERZ, pupils are informed about the World Heritage Site and the Ore Mountains as a business location in a playful way after teachers have been instructed by the co-operation partners.

Regional characteristics
Everything comes from the mines – they characterise the Erzgebirge region. What began 800 years ago with the first silver discoveries and was honoured with the designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019 is still reflected in the economic structure today. A strong industrial location with the most craft and processing companies in Saxony – especially in the field of metal processing and machining – flexible small and medium-sized companies with specific expertise.
